INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR ADVERTISED COURSES

  1. Eligible candidates are requested to visit the University of Nigeria website www.unn.edu.ng or portal unnportal.edu.ng log in your JAMB Number to generate and download a payment invoice which contains a Remita number; the invoice will enable you to make your payment at any commercial bank.
  2. With the Payment Invoice, the candidate is requested to pay Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) Advert/Shopping processing fee. Ensure that the Invoice number is keyed in appropriately at the Bank and obtain a confirmation slip containing your Confirmation number and Invoice number.
  3. To complete the Advert/Shopping form online, visit the University of Nigeria website or portal and log in your JAMB and Invoice numbers.
  4. Applications opens on Monday, 27th August and closes on Monday, 10th September, 2018.
  5. Candidates must possess the University Minimum/Departmental Entry Requirements for the courses applied for and must have taken the correct UTME subjects in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and PUTME for 2018.
  6. Candidates admitted to a particular course through this Advert would not be permitted to register in any other course during the 2018/2019 academic year.

The IJoHKHE is an International platform for researchers and educationists in diverse areas to share their research outputs and become more visible and respected among peers and global audience in their respective areas.It is a double-blind, peer-reviewed Journal published by the foremost Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

IJoHKHE publishes original research, applied and educational articles in all areas of Human Kinetics, Health and Education. We welcome healthcare professionals, experts in practical and scientific fields, as well as academics, researchers and scholars to submit research paper/manuscript/articles for possible publication in INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF HUMAN KINETICS, HEALTH AND EDUCATION.

Preparation and Submission of Manuscripts
manuscripts must conform to the publication manual of the American psychological association (APA, 6th ed.) And be submitted in English.

  1. All correspondence between authors, editors and the editor-in-chief will be conducted electronically via e-mail attachments.
  2. Authors must submit manuscripts to the editors who will initiate the blind review by qualified experts in the subject areas.
  3. Authors will be advised of the decision on their papers within one to two months.
  4. Manuscripts submitted must be original research and not published elsewhere. While being reviewed, manuscripts should not be submitted to another journal.
  5. Manuscripts should be typed with one and half-line spacing and should not exceed 12 pages, including tables, figures, and references. The body text should be in 12 point normal, times new roman. New paragraphs will be separated with a single empty line. The entire document should be one and half-line spaced.

The order for the manuscript presentation should be:

  1. Title page,
  2. Blind title page (without names(s) and address(es),

    iii.      Abstract,

  1.  Text,( provide tables, figures and plates within the text) 
  2.  References.
  3. The title page includes the full title, name of author(s), (first name, middle name or initials and last/surname) institutional affiliation(s), running head, date of manuscripts submission, full e-mail and postal address and telephone numbers of corresponding author which should be marked with an asterisk. The blind title page includes the title only.
  4. The abstract must not exceed 250 words and should summarize the paper, giving a clear indication of the conclusions.
  5. References must follow the apa format (6thedition) and ensure that all cited materials within the text are included in the reference section. 
  6. The author will also provide a biographical note of approximately 30 words.
  7. All submissions must be accompanied by a cover letter. In the cover letter, the author(s) must clearly state that the manuscript is original, it has not been published, and it is not currently being considered for publication elsewhere.
  8. The final submission for this edition should not be later than 30thof november, 2018.
